Remedial
Therapy
I integrate different advanced techniques from certified
courses and
often check
for correct
movement using
sophisticated
bodywork
modalities
(Soft Tissue
Release, MET,
Anatomy
Trains,
NKT...the list
goes on).
Feedback
during the
treatment is
essential.
Hypertonic
areas would
respond
differently to
touch despite
the same
pressure
applied to the
rest of the
body. I
tend to
stretch, hold,
then release
gently, a bit
like
stretching an
elastic band.
If you pull
and release an
elastic band
straight away,
it stays the
same length.
However, if
you stretch
and hold it
for a few
minutes, it
becomes
slightly
longer. Some
parts of the
body may
require deeper
work but it is
always within
the client's
comfort zone.
After
treatment, you
may feel achy
but should
subside after
48 hours (can
vary).
